This location is marvelously close to the water so we are certain that lovers of Humboldt Bay should live here — collectively, of course.
This is an imagining of The Land Office a project of the Imaginal Services Bureaux. We are imagining the most just use of property for sale in Humboldt County. This is an archived post so some of the links may not work. Read on…
Let’s just say that collective living is always a bit more glamorous in our fantasies than when we actually break out the chore wheel and swear jar to enforce (collectively agreed upon) rules of the home. How can we all contribute equally when someone has a problem cleaning up after they make a midnight snack?
We shall overcome these challenges. After all, you can always have some alone time in one of the SIX bedrooms. Bam! In the pictures on the real estate listing the kitchen sports three refrigerators! Oh, the potlucks to be hosted here, even without inviting anyone else over!
Just something to be aware of: This place is neighbors with two auto shops and is kitty corner from the fabulous Costume Box! Location, location, location! All we are saying is, after that potluck there are going to be some awesome costume parties. And fear not if your car breaks down when you come by to visit. Certainly there is room to sleep over and we’ll fix your car tomorrow.
We know you will likely get tired of reading this, but — ding dang — the “estimated monthly house payment” on this property is just over $1200. It doesn’t take a math professor to figure out that if everyone gets their own room, the payments are $200 per month. If everyone kicks in another $200 per month for maintenance, you’re still getting a screaming deal on housing. All you need is that down payment (and a system that doesn’t reward people who have money by allowing them to make money just because they have money to start off with… but we digress).
We can be more creative about making arrangements to live together, because the current system isn’t working… but you know this.

This is where the kinetic watercraft live.
Let’s imagine the marine team leaving for an afternoon of ecologically sustainable fishing off of stand up paddleboards followed by kite flying in Halvorsen Park before returning home to the collective bliss of cleaning up after each other.
