I can’t even begin to express my sadness at the loss if Northtown Books and Dandar’s Boardgames and Books in a tragic fire in Arcata today. It is a truly incomprehensible situation.
I am glad no one was physically injured and we will all work to repair the injury to our community’s soul that occurred today.
We will begin by supporting the booksellers themselves and then work to rebuild their places in the community. Humboldt always comes together in tough times.
