This week of “recovery” following the busy holiday week of incredibly long days was filled with much work covering several shifts at the bookshop while attempting to perform all my previously postponed tasks from weeks past. I did not succeed. However, we kept the shop open while the painting of the facade proceeded.
I’ve decided to hire someone at the shop. My kids will be back in school and I need a little more flexibility in my schedule as we plan for Salt & Fog (see last week’s update).
So many people from out of the country visited us this week. Summer is upon us!
Got a day off — finally — despite many interruptions managing staffing issues remotely. I’ll take what I can get. Image is from a trip to a cabin on the Van Duzen. Actually got in the water. It was great!
