While perfunctorily staffing a sidewalk sale called by the local merchants’ association, I had the distinct pleasure of conversing for quite some time with the one and only John Wesa.
John has been a special part of the local art scene for decades. His serigraph work is of the highest quality and his mind is a joy to interact with in conversation.
I have this piece of art in my home and love the conceit of the image — that the Curtis Jenny flew under Fernbridge “circa 1919” as pictured. Turns out, the topic of stories that stretch the truth in a fun way comprised a good portion of our conversation.
What a pleasant surprise.
