I can’t even begin to express how pleased I am that the Moss Oak Commons has come to life at 1905 Alliance Road in Arcata, California. I can’t wait to help it thrive.
As you can see on the Projects page (way down in Past Projects) I was involved in a similar place called Crowatan Art Works. Here is that mention:
Crowatan Art Works was a short lived (1998 to 1999) art and activism center in Arcata, California. Solomon made sure the rent got paid as he was on the lease.
Oh what a year that was…
In my 50s I am beginning to see my role as supporting those earlier in their life of community organizing. This is just my flavor of community. This is such a great place to help out. I hope I can offer something of value to this community as well.
I don’t think I even have any pictures of Crowatan Art Works. But it lives on in memory. And it lives on in Moss Oak Commons.
Crowatan Arts Works is dead! Long Live Moss Oak Commons!
