Today’s book buy house call took me to McKinleyville, right on the river. The ocean is over that thin strip of land. I could hear it, but I couldn’t see it.
The Bauduwa’t Floodplain and Public Access Enhancement Project is a sweet little public access area that is doing a lot of restoration work. It provides habitat and a nice short path available to all. I love when the community does great things together.
CalTrout working with local native nations, local government agencies and institutions, local businesses, and other local nonprofits made this project happen. I happened to benefit from our community’s work today.
